Applicants holding a High School diploma or its equivalent may enroll in The Academy of Hair Design educational programs. Students must be a minimum of 17 years of age to enroll. Applicants will not be denied admission on the basis of race, sex, age, religious preference, national origin, color, ethnic origin, marital status or handicap.

All courses are taught in English.

Classes begin every 6 weeks.

The weekly schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Full time is 35 hours per week
Part time is 16 hours per week

Class hours are Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 am until 5:30 pm. Students are required to arrive by 8:45 am. Program hours and days may be adjusted by the administration to allow for holidays or other events warranting schedule adjustment.

Federal student aid for those that qualify.

Students submit your FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2012-2013 award year,
where pell grants and low interest rate loans will be available to students that qualify.

Student Loans are available through SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae company.

Loans are granted based on individual credit ratings with co-signing as an option. Twelve month deferral is available with the commitment to pay only $10 a month. Applicants may also apply for a loan of up to $6000 in additional living expenses.

The Academy also has financial aid through the United Urban Indian Council for those that qualify.

Proof of Indian descent and other documents will need to be provided when applying.
