Admissions Procedure
Pre-Visit Documents
Prior to enrolling, you must complete and submit all forms listed below.

Demonstration of Commitment
Enrolling at The Academy is a serious commitment and will require dedication throughout your educational journey. As part of the admissions process, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to successfully completing their education and pursuing a career in the beauty industry. This includes keeping scheduled appointments and completing admissions and financial aid requirements in a timely manner.
Admissions Steps
Step 1: Complete and submit your financial aid application at fafsa.gov (School Code: 041444).
Your financial aid application will automatically be submitted to the school upon completion.
Step 2: Schedule an appointment to tour the school. Applicants must arrive on time and be dressed in a professional manner.

Step 3: Complete an essay describing your educational and career goals while attending The Academy of Hair Design.
Please include a cover page with the following information:

Step 4: Submit two professional references, including:

Relationship to you (how you know them)

Step 5: Submit two recent head-and-shoulders photos of yourself (digital photos accepted).

Step 6: Once Steps 1–5 are complete, the Admissions Director will email you a letter of acceptance and contact you to schedule your enrollment appointment.
At that time, you must bring:

Proof of 12th grade completion

A valid driver’s license

Your $100 registration fee

Additional Admissions Information
The Academy of Hair Design does not recruit future professionals who are currently enrolled in a similar program at another institution. Applicants currently enrolled elsewhere must first disengage from that institution before participating in the interview portion of our admissions process.
Applicants will not be denied admission on the basis of race, sex, age, religious preference, national origin, color, ethnic origin, marital status, or handicap.

3. Enrollment Meeting
We'll schedule an in-person or virtual tour and enrollment meeting to finalize your documentation and secure your start date.
